We are pleased to announce that Stop & Play will be reopening on Monday, May 18, 2020. As a state-licensed childcare facility, we are able to be operational within the limits of the guidelines set forth by the CDC and DCF (Department of Children and Families).

Stop & Play will be inspected by DCF, as usual, with no interruption to the inspection schedule. As a licensed facility, we adhere to the stringent requirements set forth by the State, but we have gone above and beyond what is required to ensure physical health and safety, but also emotional health and safety.

As long-time educators, therapists, and parents, our staff are aware that quarantine is a disruption in a child’s life and routine. 2 months can be a lifetime in terms of language, motor, and social development for kids under 5, who are making leaps and bounds on a daily basis. For this reason, we have attended trainings with DCF and CDC regarding physical safety, and we have also attended a training with a licensed mental health counselor to implement best-practices in our reopening strategy to ensure a safe and well-rounded transition back to work and play for your family,
