#BMWH Black Maternal Health Week takes place every year from April 11 –17 and was officially recognized by the White House on April 13th, 2021. During this week, we aim to share and educate black birthing people about holistic health practices that can help counter the black maternal health crisis.

70% of all women and 90% of black women will develop fibroids in their lifetime. Symptoms include painful periods, heavy bleeding, enlargement of lower abs, frequent urination, painful intercourse, lower back pain and in rare cases infertility. Experts say it is the most overlooked and underfunded public health issue. (Source: US Dept. of Health and Human Services).

Join us for a special webinar conversation with mompreneur and patient advocate Nycole Jones, owner of Yara Luxe. Nycole will be sharing her incredible  story and experience  dealing with very large fibroids during her pregnancy, as well as her fibroid journey postpartum. Nycole's pregnancy is considered a miracle, and she listened to her original doctor's advice, she would not have her baby girl today.

Nycole's positivity and venerability lead her to sharing her journey with thousands of women thorough the White Dress Project, and even landed her a billboard in Times Square. We are honor to hear more about her journey to motherhood and share in her joy!
