Hello Supermoms!
I hope all is well. It is July, baby!! 2024 has been sprinting, and I am trying to figure out why. On the other hand, I hope for peace, tranquility, and strength for you all during July. Happy 4th of July! I hope you eat all the barbeque you desire without gaining a pound! Okay, let's get into the recap!
Session 2: Preventing Perinatal/Postpartum Trauma & Stages of Postpartum
To all the mothers who attended session two on Sunday, thank you for your participation, time, and courage to share your experiences. You guys have created such an interactive session thus far, and I thank you immensely. Again, to all the mothers who have supported you thus far, you are strong, beautiful, dedicated, and a phenomenal mother.
This past Sunday, we began session two of the Empower Moms program with the head coordinator and presenter, Audrey, our community coordinator. Audrey started with Session 2: Preventing Perinatal/Postpartum Trauma & Stages of Postpartum. Audrey educated women about birth trauma, ways to prevent birth trauma, and steps to prevent birth trauma in women during the perinatal and postpartum experience. Furthermore, we discussed the stages of postpartum and the physical and emotional symptoms women may experience during these stages. The session led to an open discussion with the mothers sharing the birth trauma and finding differences between their own experiences.
Session 3 is soon approaching, and it is our last virtual session, and we want you to attend it. There is still time to register and join in on session 3. If you want to know what it entails, here is some info about Empower Moms:
